1. Service
Recast ("we", "us") provides tools to localize video content for different markets, including speech localization, optional presenter adaptation, subtitles, and export helpers. Features may change as the product is still in pre-launch.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use the service. If you use Recast for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of videos and materials you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service.
4. Rights you must hold (compliance boundary)
You may only process content that consists of (a) AI-generated people, or (b) real people for whom you have clear, documented consent and all necessary rights. We do not provide face-swap / deepfake of real persons without authorization. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You will not use the service to infringe rights, generate deceptive political or intimate content, violate platform rules, or break applicable law. We may suspend accounts that create legal or safety risk.
6. No professional advice
Outputs are machine-generated and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing results before publishing, including advertising disclosures required by Meta, TikTok, and other platforms.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
